Kava is a vibrant business communications and marketing agency situated on the Cotswolds edge near Dursley in Gloucestershire with easy access to Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Bristol and Bath. Our portfolio has global reach and we work across many industries including technology and retail.
We are looking for a talented Designer to join our team full time or part time (21 to 35 hours per week).
Kava works with high-profile businesses and organisations so we’re looking for an excellent standard of design skills and loads of passion and initiative. Your day-to-day job will include designing for both print and digital media across our full range of brands and industries and includes concept work, web design and corporate ID. We have a very busy studio so you’ll need energy and the ability to switch easily between different types of work and diverse branding – every day is different and every day brings new creative challenges.
Role and responsibilities
- Working closely with our Account Managers, Senior Creatives, Studio Manager and Digital Project Manager
- Actively contributing to creative brainstorms
- Designing for print such as brochures, posters, annual reports, stationery, exhibition/large format
- Designing for digital such as websites, e-newsletters, banner adverts, videos, animations
- Creating concepts and visuals
- Image research and curation
- Keeping on top of graphic and digital design industry trends
- Keeping up-to-date with design software and processes
- Taking responsibility for projects through to completion on time and on budget
Technical skills and experience

Good Mac knowledge and competent skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign essential

Working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Cloud applications is advantageous

Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, including for corporate branding

Good understanding of design for websites, and a passion for creating intuitive user interfaces

Considered layout, colour and typography skills

Positive, ‘can-do’ and highly organised approach
