Land Rover restoration
Ever since I was a little boy I loved the idea of owning my own Land Rover.
We use to visit my godfather on his farm and I have very fond memories of holding baby lambs in the back, as well as using it as a den. So when an opportunity presented itself to own my own – how could I resist!
Now I am by no means a grease monkey, but having recently bought a 1964 Land Rover Series 2 (off a mate), I have tasked myself with getting her back on the road. The plan is to do a very sympathetic restoration, so keeping all her lumps and bumps, but putting some bench seats in the back for our boys and possibly a full canvas roof. Then we can go off for picnics and walks on a summer’s day. Well that’s the dream.
