About us

Something's brewing

We are a full-service branding, comms and creative design agency, founded in London in 2000 by branding and communications strategist Richard Kennedy and integrated creative Christine Kennedy.

Over the years the team has grown to include experts in every aspect of communications, marketing and design and client numbers have grown – from membership associations and multi-brand food corporations, to telecoms and wireless businesses, construction and events SMEs, not-for-profit and public sector organisations.

And while you might expect a dynamic agency like Kava to be located in a big city, you’ll now find our headquarters nestled in the rolling hills of the beautiful Cotswolds in Gloucestershire where you are welcome to join us for a cuppa on the famous pink sofa and chat through your comms and creative projects.

Kava is now an employee-owned business in which the whole team has a say in how the agency is run.

We value long-term relationships with clients, colleagues and suppliers in order to build a sustainable working practice. We’re proud of our commitments to charities, community projects and providing work experience for those starting out. We avoid wasting natural resources and we use 100% green web hosting.

Our expenses are transparent – we don’t mark-up costs or add agency commission. We’re signed up to the Prompt Payment Code so our suppliers are happy. We are registered with the Information Commission so your data is safe with us.

We have worked with GSM Association, Lucent Technologies, AOL, Musgrave, Small Cell Forum (formerly the Femto Forum), Ubiquisys (acquired by Cisco), Brighter Communities Worldwide (formerly Friends of Londiani), Westonbirt Arboretum, Vodafone, Wireless Broadband Alliance, Finextra, Quortus, Real Wireless, UltraSoC (acquired by Siemens), Telensa, Beaufort Polo Club, Booker, Budgens, Londis, WMB, Bennetts Cranes, Aqua21, Amazing Tent Company, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Keima, Veea, Thalia, PepsiCo, ERM Foundation, King Lifting, Emproof, Codasip, Barriers International, Wireless Infrastructure Group and Gloucestershire County Council.
